 The Latest Covid Updates for International Students

Planning on traveling to Canada? ✈🌎

Here are the latest news and some tips for traveling during this stressful times:  

                 

                                    

              

            

                                                           

1. Follow the Rules

International Students are allowed to enter Canada after October 20. 2020. under two conditions:

- Your DLI must be on the list of approved DLI's with valid COVID-19 plan before you travel to Canada

- You must have valid study permit, or have been approved for one

                                                              

2.Docs,docs,docs 

Useful documents (apart from your passport) to have when traveling:

- Valid Study Permit or a document stating that you have been approved for one (received from IRCC)

- Letter of Acceptance from your DLI

- COVID-19 readiness plan for your DLI approved from Canada

- Traveling Support Letter from your DLI

- Quarantine Plan 

- Contact information for emergency contacts in Canada

           

3.All that the right Apps

ArriveCAN Application (you must have this in order to enter Canada)

  - Download an app before check-in and provide: 

                - your contact and travel information

                - quarantine plan

                - self-assessment for COVID-19 symptoms

           

4. What seems to be the officer, problem?

The Border Control Officer might ask you:

1. Reason for traveling

2. Your quarantine plan (if you are allowed to study online or complete your quarantine before starting your program)
